About

The RMEL Foundation was incorporated on May 5, 1999 and received its 501(c) 3, IRS non-profit, tax-exempt status on March 3, 2000. The RMEL Foundation utilizes electric utility industry engagement to support educational opportunities targeting quality students pursuing careers in the industry.

Scholarships

The RMEL Foundation provides scholarships to deserving and qualified college students focused on engineering or curriculum related to the electric energy industry with the intent of encouraging college students to pursue a career in the electric energy industry.

RMEL also provides scholarships to those pursuing an electric industry position certificate or associate degree at a college (community college, four-year college or a four-year university).

Fundraising

To fund scholarships and grow the endowment, the RMEL Foundation accepts both corporate and individual donations. Funds are also raised through the RMEL Spring Management, Engineering and Operations Conference golf outing, annual RMEL Foundation Golf Tournament held during the summer and the Auction held in conjunction with the Fall Executive Leadership and Management Convention. Named scholarships are also given each year. Become a Named Scholarship Sponsor to have a Foundation Scholarship awarded in your company's name.
